30 Things to Do While “Staying Home” & “Social Distancing” …but not losing your mind!

1. Make greeting cards to use for later occasions. Birthday Cards…Thinking Of You Cards…, Valentine’s, etc. File them for when the occasion arises. Get crafty, or just use some old paints, water colors, acrylics, etc. Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils, Your old type-writer…. Have fun and store or file them with your stationery by Occasion.

2. Make Seasonal Decorations! (For Other Seasons!) Love drawing Jack-O-Lanterns, Monsters, Bats & Ghosts? Do-it! Who cares what month it is now?! If you draw Monsters, etc. store them in your Halloween decorations, Flowers for Spring, Turkeys and Leaves for the Fall, Christmas trees, stars, Candy canes, store them with your Winter or Christmas decorations, etc.

3. Hopscotch in the drive-way…or backyard.  Not just for kids, a great way to practice your balance and get some exercise. 

4. Read a book! 

5. Organize your bookshelf! (Good way to find something to read or re-read)

6. Make a favorite recipe. Make a new recipe with whatever you’re stocked up with at home.

7. Face-time with friends & family.

8. Zero-inbox. (Search the word “Unsubscribe” in your inbox and open and unsubscribe to as many things as you can!)

9. Write out a daily schedule.

10. See if you have any clothes, etc. that you could donate, etc. (Go all ‘Marie Kondo’ on some element of your life!) Doesn’t “Spark joy” ? Offer it to someone, or toss it out! https://konmari.com

11. Train your pet(s). Teach them a new trick, or just work on their/your routine.

12. Bathe/ groom, love on your pet(s).

13. Bathe/ groom or love on yourself! Take a relaxing bath! Trim those split ends. Clip yo’ nails!

14. Finish an unfinished craft.

15. Clean the gunk off of something. A light-switch, a floor board….that area under the sink, behind your trashcan…

16. Re-Arrange your furniture!

17. Charge up all your devices. (Good for an emergency, but also, super satisfying)

18. Delete un-used apps.

19. Re-Organize your most-used apps, so you aren’t swiping through pages of them all the time.

20. Watch video tutorials on YouTube. (How to fix something, how to make something, how to do something…)

21. Subscribe to something you like, so you see it more regularly.

22. Go through your Instagram, etc. and comment on old posts, just to show people a little love and appreciation.

23. Watch a documentary.

24. Learn a new vocabulary word, and start to use it! For example: “Celerity” “swiftness of movement”

25. Make a rubber band ball, with all those in your junk drawer.

27. Make a bouquet of whatever grows in your garden and fill up a vase or two.

28. Put together future outfits.

29. Download podcasts to listen to now or build a library of them, for later.

30. Search out and Join a few Facebook, etc. groups for accountability/ fellowship. Whatever interests or issues you have, others likely do, too!
